Teacup Story – Reflections

Reflections – Sometimes, reflections aren’t always good. But they aren’t always bad either. (Genre – General, Genre – Free writing, Rating – PG)

Don’t let me be broken.

I can’t be broken.

I don’t want to be broken.

I don’t want to admit I think I am broken.

Am I broken?

I don’t want to admit it, but I think it. It turns in my mind like the sun turns through the sky.

It worries me.

It scares me.

I don’t want to be broken.

Please don’t let me be broken.

———————————–

I am whole.

I am as whole as any human can be.

I am mortal.

I am strong.

I am flawed.

I am proud.

I am brave.

I am wilful.

I am passionate.

I am brilliant.

I am patched together from thousands of glass. But I am melded together with golden threads that run deep into my veins.

I am beautiful.

I am witty.

I am kind.

I am valid.

My thoughts are valid.

My feelings are valid.

My worries are valid.

My worries are not my thoughts.

My thoughts are not my feelings.

My feelings are not me.

I am me.

Just little old me.

I am as perfect as I will ever be.

And that is okay.
